Science Center
The rooms are separated by my affinity matrix, which is separated by public, private, and service. The dorms are at the north end by the playground and next to the existing w.u.c. purchasing building which I propose to by the future day care center. The public area is towards the proposed entry. The experiment stations are arranged to the south because there is a lack of interest looking at Mcdougal street. The atrium is oriented towards the southern sun while creating a cliff-like drop-off. The second story mezzanine is the look out tower that looks into the court yard. One of my favorite features is the "cascade." It is the glazing that runs down the mountain, the second story exhibit, and through the corridor on the west side, the skylight, that is cushioned through the butterfly roof, which can also be called the channel.
