Multi-Use Building
Royal Oak, Michigan is a booming city that requires total attention to its growing business, retail, housing, and parking demands. My concept was to accommodate all of these demands through using the entire site. The site is on Fifth and Main Street. I proposed to alleviate all of the city’s problems. The first floor is retail and parking, with office and apartments on the floors above. Turning the corner was my major concern, especially for an urban design. I created entrances off the no desirable south side. My major materials are glazing, concrete, and metal roofing.
